As Foreman, you'll manage daily operations, lead your crew with precision, and ensure every property in your care exceeds client expectations. Your ability to manage complex schedules, prioritize tasks, and catch even the smallest details won't go unnoticed. Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead and supervise a crew in maintaining and enhancing commercial landscapes through mowing, edging, weeding, pruning, and applying horticultural products safely and efficiently
  • Implement effective time management by accurately tracking crew hours and productivity metrics
  • Build relationships through professional communication with clients, Field Supervisors, and Account Managers
  • Expertly operate professional-grade equipment including backpack blowers, commercial mowers, string trimmers, pruning tools, and spray equipment
  • Safely navigate a truck and trailer between multiple job sites, including in congested urban environments
  • Identify landscape issues and recommend appropriate solutions to clients and management
  • Ensure crew compliance with all safety protocols and company standards

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years' professional landscape maintenance experience with demonstrated leadership ability
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective client and team interactions
  • Proficiency with digital time-tracking systems, landscape management software, and smartphone applications
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
  • Ability to pass advanced background checks required for access to secure commercial properties
  • Resilience to work outdoors in all seasonal weather conditions
  • Physical capability to perform landscape tasks including pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, twisting, climbing, squatting, and frequently lifting up to 75 pounds

  • Starting wage is $24-25 per hour , dependent upon experience

Work Schedule and Environment

  • Four 10-hour workdays with a crew of up to 7 team members (overtime available during peak seasons)
  • Workdays are Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, starting between 6:00 and 7:00 am depending on the season.
  • This position is based at our office and landscaping headquarters in SE Portland.
