Within the Authorization & Certification Program, the Non-Criminal Justice Access Oversight Section is a dedicated team that supports the authorization of agencies and organizations requesting to conduct fingerprint-based background checks to help determine the suitability of a person applying for employment, a professional license, or any position serving children, the elderly, or individuals with disabilities.


As a Crime Analyst, you will be a vital link between internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timeliness across all aspects of the authorization process. This position requires a high level of discretion, critical thinking, and a concrete understanding of relevant laws, rules, and regulations. Working Conditions

This position is designated for telework under Government Code section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California and may require reporting to headquarters or field offices and facilities to fulfill operational needs. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time. Telework does not change the terms and conditions of employment, the essential functions of job duties, or required compliance with the Department of Justice policies.

This position is eligible for telework, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
