The State of Iowa – Department of Management (DOM) is seeking a Drupal Developer to join their Digital Experience (DX) team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining Drupal websites and integrating Qualtrics forms. The candidate will work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple high-impact digital projects.
Drupal CMS Development – Designing, developing, and maintaining Drupal websites.
Front-End Development – Using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design techniques.
Survey Integration – Building and integrating surveys via Qualtrics or similar platforms.
Digital Tools – Utilizing Acquia, Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, and Google Analytics.
Version Control – Managing code repositories and collaboration using GIT.
Design, build, test, and maintain Drupal CMS-based websites and components.
Create responsive and accessible websites compatible across devices.
Integrate Qualtrics or similar survey tools with web platforms and data systems.
Collaborate with design teams using Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
Monitor and analyze site traffic and user behavior with Google Analytics.
Ensure consistent environments using Acquia hosting and management tools.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
Adhere to state accessibility and usability standards for public-facing sites.

5–7 years of experience in Drupal development.
Proven experience with front-end and back-end development in Drupal CMS.
Strong understanding of adaptive/responsive web design principles.

Must be a resident of Iowa .
Experience working with State or Local Government agencies.
Background in survey tools and integrations with internal systems.
Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG/Section 508).
