Job Description

Job Summary:

Trojan Roofing is seeking a dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented  Field Tech Inspector to join our elite roofing operations team. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working outside, is highly organized, communicates well with homeowners and crews, and wants to grow with one of the fastest-growing roofing companies in the region.

As a Field Tech Inspector, you'll play a crucial role in our day-to-day operations. You will perform roof inspections, take job documentation photos, meet with clients, support production crews on build days, and help ensure quality control from start to finish. You'll be the eyes and ears on-site, ensuring that every job is done right the first time.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspections & Documentation

  • Perform accurate and thorough roof inspections on residential and commercial properties.
  • Use ladders and drones (if applicable) to access roofs safely and efficiently.
  • Take clear, high-quality photos documenting roof condition, damages, and installation progress.
  • Upload and organize all photos, inspection notes, and documentation in JobNimbus or assigned platforms.

Client Communication & Appointments

  • Meet with homeowners during scheduled appointments to review inspection findings and set expectations.
  • Assist the sales and adjuster teams with documentation and onsite walkthroughs as needed.
  • Represent Trojan Roofing professionally and maintain excellent customer service standards at all times.

Production Support

  • Verify materials, permits, and scope of work prior to job start.
  • Drop off trailers, materials, and equipment to job sites when required.
  • Be present on-site during key moments of production to support crews and monitor progress.
  • Identify punch list items, issues, or missed components and communicate to production or supplementing teams.
  • Perform post-job quality control inspections to ensure full completion and customer satisfaction.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Roofing, construction, or inspection experience preferred (willing to train the right candidate).
  • Comfortable working at heights and using ladders.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with using mobile apps and software (JobNimbus, Google Drive, Company CRMs).
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license required.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently in the field.

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Full-Time: Monday to Friday (occasional weekends or evenings may be required).
  • Pay: Competitive Hourly/ Salary
  • Growth track available for those interested in moving into Project Management or Field Management roles.
