Job Description

Looking for experienced, self- motivated furniture delivery driver with clean DMV record who can drive a 26' Box Truck with excellent customer service skills.

Job Summary

To deliver and assemble all assigned delivery and service orders in accordance with Bassett Furniture operations.

PAY: $19 - 24 per hour

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Load delivery vehicle with all required pieces scheduled to specific delivery route
• Deliver all customer orders in a timely and safe manner
• Assemble furniture upon delivery to customer’s home
• Professional communication with customers and Bassett Customer Service at the completion of the delivery
• Advise Customer Service of any missing or damaged pieces upon delivery
• Report any accidents on the road, or damage to customer’s property immediately
• Unload any undeliverable pieces at the distribution center
• Assist in general distribution duties as needed
• Operate and maintain delivery vehicles, reporting any malfunctions immediately
• Abide all speed limits, traffic laws sand safety rules at all times

Required Qualifications

• At minimum, must be 21 years of age
• Valid California driver’s license
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work in non-climate controlled environments
• Two years DMV/MVR record with two or less moving violations
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule and at the specific work location
• Must be willing to complete a background check and drug screening
• Schedule will include working weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Frequent maneuvering in and out of delivery truck
• Walking and climbing steps and stairs on a frequent basis while carrying furniture
• Two handed lifting, pushing, handling, and carrying on a frequent basis
• Two handed pushing, pulling and lifting of loaded and unloaded furniture in and out of truck cargo area
• Job duties and responsibilities may vary by location and additional job duties and responsibilities may be assigned
