Internal Audit Credit Risk Auditor Sr Location Hicksville, NY : Position Title Internal Audit Credit Risk Auditor Sr Location NYCB Plaza - 100 (Hicksville, NY) Job Summary Reporting to the Internal Audit Credit Review Director, the Internal Audit Credit Risk Auditor will assist in activities designed to measure, monitor and report the level of credit risk and loan loss exposure in the loan portfolios through the ongoing analysis of financial, economic and transaction risks identified within the portfolios. Pay Range: $58,500.00 - $83,000.00 - $107,500.00 Job Responsibilities: Evaluate individual loans to ensure that acceptable credit standards are maintained and that loans conform to established policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. Determine that approved loans are properly administered in accordance with credit approval authorizations and documented loan parameters. Evaluate the overall credit worthiness and repayment capacity of a borrower through in-depth loan level review (including, income, debt, credit, appraisal, assets, and title). Reviews, monitors and provides loan recommendations that are properly structured and accurately risk graded; provides recommendations and maintains documentation supporting all such changes. Communicate results of loan reviews and/or portfolio trends to senior management or respective committees with objective assessments of credit quality as required. Assess the adequacy of loan documentation, filed completeness and overall portfolio management practices Assist in the preparation of other management reports and special projects related to loan portfolio quality, or other due diligence projects as required by the director Job Requirements Bachelors Degree - Preferred field of study Business Administration, Finance, Accounting Certification or Licences- Preferred CPA, OCC or FDIC Bank Examiner
- Strong knowledge of commercial real estate, C&I and other complex commercial lending products, underwriting, policies, procedures and systems.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a loan reviewer, credit analyst, or residential mortgage underwriter, preferably with a regulated financial institution. Emphasis on experience with complex commercial lending structures, overall mastery of technical underwriting requirements of loans relative to both regulatory bulletins, laws and regulations as well as GSE requirements. Commercial experience with highly leveraged lending, construction real estate controls, calculation of EBITDA, working capital and collateral evaluation methodologies are a must.
- Ability to work independently on varied and complex portfolio reviews.
- Proven ability to review and synthesize large amounts of data in an accurate and efficient manner.

- Strong organizational skills, flexibility and proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a high volume environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment (to include interaction with various levels of management and lending staff), as well as the ability to take the initiative to work independently.
- Commitment and ability to recommend service, process and policy enhancements which will add value to the company.
- Ability to adapt to new portfolios and additional responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel. Must have a basic understanding of pivot tables, and excel spreadsheet commands.
