We are seeking an experienced Meditech Expanse Analyst with a strong background in medication order set design, clinical workflow optimization, and electronic health record (EHR) configuration. This role will play a critical part in supporting clinical decision-making by maintaining and enhancing standardized order sets, clinical parameters, and build components within the Meditech Expanse platform.
The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in Expanse, a working knowledge of medication safety standards, and the ability to partner with interdisciplinary stakeholders, including clinicians, pharmacists, and IT teams, to ensure the system supports safe, efficient, and compliant patient care.
Build, optimize, and maintain medication order sets, including associated parameters, dosing protocols, frequencies, routes, and CDS logic
Conduct workflow analysis to align clinical practices with system capabilities and promote best practices in medication ordering and documentation
Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and informaticists to design clinically relevant, evidence-based order sets
Support configuration of related Expanse modules, including Parameters, Orders, Result Entry, and Health Maintenance Items
Perform system testing, scenario validation, and upgrade support to ensure functionality and safety with each Meditech release
Document system build, testing outcomes, and governance approvals to meet compliance and audit standards
Partner with internal governance bodies to manage change control and versioning of standardized clinical content
2+ years of Meditech Expanse EHR build experience, with proven expertise in:
Order Set Editor and CDS tools
Parameters and medication orders
Result Entry workflows
Cross-disciplinary clinical integration
Strong understanding of clinical workflows, medication management, and healthcare regulatory standards
Effective communicator with the ability to translate clinical needs into technical requirements and collaborate with diverse teams
Experience supporting system testing, validation, and production deployment of new build components
Background in pharmacy informatics, nursing informatics, or clinical informatics
Experience participating in order set governance, formulary alignment, and provider optimization initiatives
Knowledge of medication safety checks (e.g., renal dosing, allergy alerts) and how they are applied in EHR build
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks related to medication management
