Job Description

Adelphi is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide special education services within Port Arthur, Texas. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality onsite occupational therapy to students ages 3–21 in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), with a focus on promoting functional skills and school participation.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners.
• Prior experience working with students in educational settings is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct therapy services per students’ IEPs.
• Conduct fine motor, sensory, and visual-motor assessments.
• Participate in diagnostic and IEP meetings.
• Consult with staff and families, including assistive technology support.
• Provide training for teachers/paraprofessionals.
• Maintain accurate documentation and prepare Medicaid reports.
• Provide Homebound and Extended School Year (ESY) services as required.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as needed.
• Any other duties as assigned.
