Role Overview :

This Seasonal State Worker position serves as an Administrative Assistant to Stakeholder Services by providing administrative and clerical support to the Crawfordsville District Administration Office Headquarters, ensuring smooth operations and facilitating effective communication. This position will assist district directors and other employees as necessary.

Top 3 Functions:

• Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate departments or individuals
• Answer telephones, open front doors, and respond to inquiries via telephone or email
• Book meeting rooms, prepare and mail outgoing correspondence

Top 3 Skills: 

• 1+ years of clerical experience
• Ability to work independently
• Organized and professional demeanor

Location :

This position is located in INDOT’s Crawfordsville District.

Salary Statement :

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $16.24 an hour.

A Day in the Life:

• Some essential functions of this position may be performed onsite at the agency’s worksite or other assigned worksites while some essential functions of this position may be eligible for work from home authorization in accordance with policy. Remote work authorization is not automatic and is dependent upon operational needs and agency approval.

This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.

Benefits of Employment with the State of Indiana:

This seasonal position does not offer benefits and is limited to 180 working days in an eleven (11) month continuous period.
