Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and safety-conscious Volumetric Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a CDL Class A with a Tanker Endorsement and have experience driving large commercial vehicles, particularly those used in concrete or bulk materials transport. As a Volumetric Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a Class 8 Concrete Truck, understanding and adjusting automated production of concrete, ensuring timely deliveries to construction sites, and adhering to all safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a volumetric concrete truck to and from construction sites and other locations.
  • Accurately load, transport, and produce “mix on-site” concrete, ensuring proper handling and adherence to safety procedures.
  • Inspect truck and equipment before, during, and after each shift to ensure safe operation and compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Ensure accurate production of spec mix concrete on-site.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Follow all traffic laws, including speed limits, and safety protocols to ensure safe and efficient transport of materials.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring that the truck and equipment are in good working condition.
  • Assist in the proper maintenance and upkeep of trucks and equipment, reporting any issues or concerns immediately.
  • Provide exceptional customer service when delivering to job sites, ensuring professional and courteous interactions with construction teams.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to safety, delivery, and equipment maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Valid CDL Class A license with a Tanker Endorsement.
  • Previous experience driving a volumetric concrete truck or transporting bulk materials, preferably concrete.
  • Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
  • Strong knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety standards.
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed during loading/unloading.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screenings, and DOT physicals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in concrete or bulk material transport.
  • Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and dispatch software.
  • Hazmat endorsement is a plus.
  • Experience with volumetric mixing and cement truck operation

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb in and out of the truck cab multiple times per day.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods while driving and handle long routes.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and on construction sites.
